Oh my gosh, can you believe how fast this year is going?!?   What was it, 3 weeks ago we were freezing and playin' in the snow?!?  And today, we have the windows open and enjoying the nice weather!  

A lot has been going on since the last post in December (shamelessly I hang my head!).

Playin' Around Town has moved into the Waco, Temple, Killeen area and are proud to welcome Rodney and Shannon as the Event Coordinators and Account Executives and Codi as the Event Host.

We are also pleased to welcome Mia and Nola as Account Executives in the DFW area.

And last by not least, myself, as the Event Coordinator for the DFW area.

Join us at Win Kids in Flower Mound on Friday 12/11 from 12:30 - 3pm, for an afternoon of fun for everyone! Last time we hosted an event at Win Kids, we ran out of reservations! If you or your child have not been here yet, we promise that you guys are in for a FANTASTIC time! The parents and children that attended the last event are still talking about the great time they had and asked if we could have another event here again.

Mike Winburn, the owner of Win Kids has been so kind and allowed us to come back. This is one event you sure don't want your family to miss.

Win Kids offers gymnastics, tumbling, basketball, movies, swimming, dancing, and even a beauty salon!

This event is suitable for all ages. There will be activities for everyone! Hurry up and sign up though, because space is limited!

We are excited to announce that Playin' Around Town is growing in staff and expanding into new markets.

Since we hosted our first event in July of this year, Playin' Around Town has grown to more than 2,000 members, hosted 17 events, and is now expanding to other markets. Thanks to our wonderful sponsors, venues, and members we are now able to share our fun events with more families across the nation.

Our first new market is Waco, Temple, & Killeen, TX. We have already begun registering new members and scheduled our first event. If you have friends or family that live in either of the great towns, please share our site with them. Our first event is scheduled for Monday, December 21 at Jumping Party in Waco, from 10am - 1pm. We are so excited to meet new members and hopefully create alot of fun memories for their families.

With our expansion into other markets, we have also been fortunate enough to add to our staff. Leslie Simms, a mother of 1 beautiful son, has come on board to help coordinate events and work with sponsors, in the DFW area. When you attend any of the upcoming events, please make sure to introduce yourself and say hello.

In the Waco, Temple, & Killeen markets, Rodney & Shannon Somers have joined the team as Market Directors. They will be scheduling events, working with sponsors, and communicating with our members in their area. Rodney and Shannon are the parents of a wonderful 4 year old son. We are so lucky to have them on board and they are so excited to be part of the Playin' Around Town team!

We are so excited to announce that we will be hosting our first ever weekend event, this SATURDAY 11/14 from 4:30 - 7:30! 280 Sports is filled with tons of fun activities for the whole family to enjoy and they will all be open for Playin' Around Town Members to enjoy for free!

As most of you know, I am a mom of 4 kiddos, 3 of which are 4 years old and younger. Since becoming a stay at home mom and starting Playin' Around Town, I have been struggling with developing a good routine for my toddlers. This has been a little bit of a challenge so I went online for help and stumbled upon www.milestoneparenting.com.

Their product is really simple, yet it looks super effective. Through it's wall poster system, it gives children a visual reminder of the things that we have to do each day. Such as waking up, eating breakfast, brushing teeth, nap time, clean-up, bathtime, pajamas, night teeth brushing, then bedtime. The posters come with 16 different activities that you can choose from and are personalized with your childs name. The activites are stickers that you can remove, rearrange, & write-on with a dry erase marker.

I have purchased 2 systems today for my 3 & 4 year olds. I plan on letting them use the dry erase marker and checking off the task as they complete it. They LOVE seeing progress and showing it off to me.

I will keep you updated on how it works for us. I can't wait to end the struggles of clean up time and bedtime.

Now to just get my teenager on a routine...or is it too late?

Playin' Around Town has partnered with The Solana Club to offer moms a break from everyday life. Oh and don't worry the kiddos are encouraged to join in the fun.
